Adan Gonzales, 87, a well-known APS Educator, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017. Adan, was known for his kindness and caring towards family, friends and strangers. Whoever got to meet him was a very lucky person.

Adan was a Veteran of the Korean War and served proudly. Adan put himself through school to obtain a college degree and Masters. He was a dedicated teacher for 42 years in the Las Vegas, NM area rural communities and APS.

He is survived by his wife, of 60 years Angie; his children, Dolores (Roy), Carla (Ricardo), Philip (Becky) and Andrew (Lisa); his grandchildren, Corey, Michael (Diane), Jody, Richard Lee, Adam (Becca), Alyssa, Alexis, Steven and Nicholas; great-greatgrandchild, Michael Angelo; and many cherished, nieces, nephews and cousins. Adan loved all animals, especially his dogs, Tootsie, Angel, Prince, Nugget, Blanca, Beauty, Al and Ignatius (Iggy) and they all loved him too.

Adan is the last surviving sibling of the Gonzales Family. He is predeceased by his parents, Epifano & Margarita Gallegos Gonzales; and siblings, Maria Higinia Mejillas (Daniel), Bonifacio Gonzales (Santana), Jose D. Gonzales (Guadalupe), Otilia Sandoval (Manuel Sr.), Carmen Garduno (Joe) and Atilano Gonzales (Lourdes).

A Rosary will be recited Friday, January 13, 2017, 7:00 p.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Church, 11401 Indian School Road NE.
