Muncie – Adam M. Lapata, Jr., 56, passed away early Thursday, Morning May 19, 2011, at his sister’s residence following a brief illness.
Adam was born in Muncie on March 26, 1955, and was a graduate of Southside High School.
Mr. Lapata was retired from Laborers International Union Local #1112. He was employed in construction for over twenty-four years. As a youth Adam was a boxer. He was a member of Muncie PAL Club. Mr. Lapata was an avid CB Radio Operator, and he loved his dog Buddy.
Survivors include two children; a brother, Danny Myers, (wife-Julie), Muncie; five sisters, Kathy Conley, Muncie, Mildred Myers, Muncie, Nancy Songer, Muncie, Beverly Myers Muncie, and Billie Jo Myers, Muncie; two special family friends Sheila Cowley, Muncie and Peggy Christian, Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Stan Conley; and a niece, Patricia Brewer.
