Ada Jane Harris (nee Smith) died Thursday October 18, 2012 at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly at the age of 92. Mrs. Harris was born in Burlington and remained a longtime resident before moving to Greensboro, NC. She and her husband Harold returned to Burlington after 10 years to retire. Before her retirement she had worked as a secretary for Fleetwings Co. in Bristol, PA. She was a member of the Good Cheer Club in Burlington, she had served as secretary for the Burlington Garden Club for many years, she was a member of the “lunch bunch” and Marge’s Supper Club.
Perhaps her greatest joy was living along the Delaware River and practicing the piano. Wife of the late Harold R. Harris who died in 2006, she was also predeceased by her son H. Gregory Harris. She is survived by her children; Carol Moldan of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, Robert D. Harris of Burlington and Glenn C. Harris of Clearwater, FL, her grandchildren Lauren Harris and Robert D. Harris, Jr., her sister Alma Wallace and sister in law Mary Jane Harris.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great grand nieces and great grand nephews as well as her dear friend Lois Chant and her friends and neighbors at Quaker Landing.
