Abraham Mathew (Pappachan), Kuriackal House was 80 years of age. He was the son of C.M Abraham and Mariamma Abraham, transitioned peacefully from this life into eternal life on June 17, 2023.

He was born on April 28, 1943, in Ranny, Kerala, India. Abraham who was lovingly known as Pappachan was the eldest of eight children, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters. After graduating from High School, he studied Accounting. Abraham worked as an Accountant for businesses in the Ranny area while attending Bible School. In 1968, he married his beloved wife Mercy, the daughter of the Late Pastor V.K Abraham and Annamma Abraham (Trichur). They were blessed with their son Jennings in 1969. Shortly after Jennings was born, the Lord allowed Abraham the opportunity to further his studies at an Open Bible College in the United States. In 1970, he moved to Des Moines, Iowa, while Mercy remained in Ranny with Jennings.

Abraham took great pleasure in accompanying and translating for his father-in-law Pastor V.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mercy who faithfully walked by his side throughout their earthly journey. She was his main care giver during the last number of years while his health was declining. Her care and devotion to him was unwavering until he took his last breath. Their marriage was a testament to the divine love that can sustain and strengthen a union. Together, they demonstrated the true meaning of selflessness and commitment, a beautiful reflection of God’s love.
