Our Father Abraham Gallegos was called by our Lord on September 10, 2010 to eternal rest; his work on earth complete.
Abraham was born on March 16, 1927 in the small village of Villa Hidalgo, Zacatecas, Mexico to Jesus Gallegos and Petra Rangel. He came to the United States with the Bracero Program working in Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi. He settled in Oxnard and lived here for over 40 years.
Abraham is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Petra Gallegos, brothers Mauro, Margarito, Rafael, Jesus, sister Romalda, loving wife Alberta Cruz Gallegos and children Mayito and Teresita.
He is survived by his daughters Maria del Carmen Melendez (Ismael) and Maria Guadalupe Herrera (Armando), son Jose Arturo Gallegos (Jovita) and stepchildren Juan Manuel Torres (Socorro), Jose Luis Reyes (Lourdes) and Maria Concepcion Reyes (Antonio) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Our Dad lived life to the fullest surrounded by his family with 52 of those years with our loving Mother until her death.
