Aaron R. Jackson, age 30, of Brookston, Indiana, formerly of Rensselaer, passed away April 23, 2021 in Brookston.
He was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on April 15, 1991, the son of Brian and Teresa (Fontaine) Jackson. Aaron graduated from Rensselaer Central High School with the Class of 2010. He then attended Ivy Tech Community College for one year. Aaron worked in sales at Goodland Auto Sales and then for Jackson Striping before realizing his dreams of co-owning and managing Jackson Street Pub in Brookston from 2017 to present. Aaron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding 4 wheelers and snowmobiles with his Brookston buddies. He truly loved running the Pub and allowing his customers a place to enjoy themselves. He was also the recipient of the Golden Hammer award in his Building Trades class in high school. Aaron will be remembered by many for his kind heart, generosity, and sense of humor. Aaron could always make you smile, even when you were having the roughest of days. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and community.
Aaron is survived by his parents, Brian and Teresa of Rensselaer, his sister, Raeann (Jeff) Miller of Okemos, MI, paternal grandmother, Berneice Jackson, maternal grandmother, Carol Fontaine, aunts and uncles, Cheryl Ekstrom, Doris Foley, Pam (Wayne) Johnson, and Stacie Kingman, and numerous cousins.
