A. Maxine ”Storey” Evans, 77, Anderson, died July 21, 2002 at St. Johns Medical Center, Anderson, Indiana after a sudden illness. She was born August 17, 1924 in Glen Mary, Tennessee and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She lived most of her life in Anderson, moving here from Tennessee She was a homemaker She was a member of Valley Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Anderson, the Order of Eastern Star in Robbins, Tennessee and she loved to quilt.
She is survived by her Husband, whom she married August 5, 1947 in Oneida, Tennessee, James ”Jay” Evans, her son, Larry wife, Diane Evans of Yorktown, a daughter, Jayne Adams of Anderson, three sisters, Flossie Hughett of Indianapolis, Sheila Bowling of Camel County, Alabama, and Betty Pemberton of Robbins, Tennessee, two brothers, Glen Storey of Oneida, Tennessee and John Storey of Robbins, Tennessee; two sisters-in-law: Louise Perdue of Anderson, and Ada Newport of Robbins, Tennessee, three grandchildren, Ashley Adams of Ft. Hood, Texas, Mindy husband Chad McVey of Florence, South Carolina and Chris Evans of Athens, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude & Florence West Storey; six brothers, Bob Storey, Mac Storey, Paul Storey, Claude Storey, Jr., George Storey, and Bill Storey.
