A. Charles “Chuck” Spallitta, 94, of Bethlehem passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at St. Luke’s Fountain Hill. He was the husband of the late Belle (Bennett) Spallitta. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Charles and Josephine Spallitta. Chuck honorably served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. Upon returning home, he worked as the head of the fabricating division for Bethlehem Steel, retiring in 1980 after 30 years of service. After retirement he became a Realtor, and started his own company in Florida, and named it Amerivest Realty. Chuck was a loving and giving man who adored making those around him laugh! He enjoyed telling stories and jokes. He also started a weekly newsletter at Country Meadow’s called, “Getting to know you”, which was a hobby for Chuck in his later years.
SURVIVORS: Chuck is survived by his son, Tom C. Spallitta of Lynchburg, Virginia; daughter, Cathy A. Spallitta of Bethlehem; sisters, Josephine Cutrone of New York and Ruth Gargiullo and husband Joe of Florida; and many loving nieces and nephews.
