David Freeman Lane, 49 died January 30, 2005 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after a sudden illness.

He was born October 21, 1955, in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. He lived in this area all of his life. He was self employed as an accomplished carpenter. He served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing, Dale Earnhardt Jr., watching football, hunting, collector of antiques and Army memorbilia. He was a kidney transplant recepient of 14 years. He had a very strong will to live and never gave up.

He is survived by his Wife of seven years: Rita Ledbetter Lane. Mother: Doris Robinson Lane. Children: Ceresa Lane & Joey Key, Amanda Lane & Jimmy Lynn, Brandy Lane & Zach Kerr, Jesse Ledbetter, David F.M. Lane and Serena Lane. Brothers: Karl Dwight Lane and Michael L. Lane. Stepbrother: Jeff L. Compton. Mother-in-law: Carol Simpson. Seven Grandchildren: Kelsey Key, Kiliegh Cox, Kaytlynn Key, Kyler Lynn, Kayden Key, Kynzee Lynn and Chesney Kerr. Several Nieces, Nephews, Two Uncles and Several Cousins. Special Friends: Tony Cantrell and Johnny Coffman. Dog: Sox.

He was preceded by his Father: Freeman Lane. Grandmother: Violet Dearmon. Grandfather: Merlin Lane.
