Zeno Reising, age 80, of Algona, passed away on Sunday December 4, 2016 at his home. Zeno William Reising, the son of Andrew G. And Esther (Engel) Reising, was born on October 2, 1936 in Breda, Iowa. He graduated from Wesley High School in 1954. Zeno served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961. On September 1, 1962 Zeno was united in marriage with Sharon J. Miller in Wesley. He began working at Snap-On Tools in 1962 and became the plant manager in 1988. Zeno retired from Snap-On in February 1998. He was a Eucharistic Minister and Usher for St. Cecelia Catholic Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley. He had been a member of the Algona Rotary Club and a board member of several organizations, including: Bishop Garrigan High School, First Interstate Bank, KRHC Foundation and the Algona Chamber of Commerce. Zeno enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, golf, playing cards and, more than anything, spending time with his family. Zeno’s memory is cherished by Sharon, his wife of 54 years; their children: Jane (Ken) Van Horn of Norwalk, IA, Rebecca (Hector) Marquez of Austin, TX, Michael Reising of New Braunfels, TX, Mary (Jeff) Rochholz of Panora, IA, and Max Reising of Colleyville, TX; grandchildren: Heather (Andrew) Werning, Nathan Van Horn, Luke Reising, Grant, Aden and Kylie Rochholz, Eva and Olivia Reising, Christopher, Jeremy and Nickolas Marquez; great grandchildren: Victoria and Leon Werning, Zachary and Sara Marquez; sisters: Inez Eden of Woden, Rosa Lee (Philip) Studer of Algona, Marlene (Fred) Schneider of Algona, Bonnie (Ken) Graham of Webster City and Linda (Jim) Schoby of Algona; and brothers: Jim Reising of Garner, Tom (Mary Ann) Reising of Algona, Richard (Arlene) Reising of Algona and Andrew C. (Geralyn) Reising of Wesley. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Colleen Studer, Ramona Huff and Patricia Reising; and three siblings in infancy: Dean, Mary and Mary Lee Reising.
