Okeechobee – Zena R. Thomas passed away peacefully with her children by her side on November 2, 2021. She was born July 26, 1932, in Basinger to Walter Charles and Arbell (Carter) Raulerson. She was a lifetime resident of Basinger.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Edward Thomas; son, Ronnie Thomas; brothers, W.C. Raulerson and Harley C. Raulerson; and sisters, Arizona “Punk” Thomas, Vena Arnold, and Katherine Thomas.
She is survived by her daughter, Mae Conely (Tom) and Gurnee Thomas (Cheri); sister, Nancy R. Chandler, all of Okeechobee; four grandchildren, Karen, Matt, Jet, and Jason; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
