Zane E. Filson, 87, of Eden passed away on November 22, 2013, at Kindred Health & Rehabilitation Center in Greenfield.
He was born August 19, 1926, in New Castle to the late Fred and Esta (Snider) Filson. Zane attended the former Eden High School, was a member of the Eden United Methodist Church, and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He retired as a production manager from Freightliner Corporation in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his daughters: Dawn Marie Weaver of Indianapolis; LeAnn Joy (Bob) Wellens of Noblesville; and Zaneen Gay Morano of Anderson; sons: Fred Franklin (Carol) Filson of Anderson and Samuel Sherman Filson of Orange Park, FL; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother Bruce A. (Cris) Filson of Greenfield; and sisters: Joyce Robb of Indianapolis; Dona Wainscott of Greenfield; and Audrey (Paul) Woodward of Cicero.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Sue (Daugherty) Filson, whom he married on December 24, 1963; and brother Jay Filson.
