Zane Crawmer, age 14 of Algona, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Visitation will be 2:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday at the First United Methodist Church in Algona. Private Family Services will be at a later date.
Zane Christopher Crawmer, the son of Jenna Reed and Chris Crawmer, was born on August 4, 2004 in Algona, Iowa. Zane was a freshman at Algona High School. He enjoyed being outdoors, swimming and being in the water, bike rides, listening to Country music and horseback riding. Zane loved being with his brothers and sisters, going on Gator rides and going to the Park. He followed the New Orleans Saints and liked to spend time with his classmates and the nurses that took care of him.
Left to cherish Zane’s memory is his mother, Jenna Shipler and her husband Bobby of Algona; father, Chris Crawmer of Lu Verne; brothers, Brody and Waylon Shipler of Algona and Ryder Crawmer of Irvington; sisters, Emerald Shipler of Algona and Laelah and McKenna Crawmer of West Bend; grandparents, John and Julie Reed of Algona, Vicky Gosmire of Algona, Lonnie and Terrie Shipler of Algona and Deb and Dave Crawmer of Lu Verne; great grandparents, Roger and Sandi Keith of Algona and Don and Janice Patton of Algona; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his nurses, Kayla Bell, Michelle Anderson and other previous nurses. He was preceded in death by his Reed and Schwarz great grandparents.
