Zachary Paul Hansen, age 53, of Walker, MN, passed away at his home on Monday, February 24th, 2014. Zach was born on June 18, 1960 in Minneapolis, MN the son of William and Gloria (Wolf) Hansen.
Zachary is remembered as a loving son, and a sincere, good hearted man who loved hanging out with friends and making new acquaintances. Zachary was a trained TV repairman, an auto mechanic and residential handyman. He would often come in the house after working on a car out in the garage covered with grease from head to toe. Then he’d jokingly give his mom a hug and the two would laugh together has she cleaned up the mess. He was a jack-of-all-trades who could fix anything he put his mind to. For years Zachary served the Leech Lake Area as a painter and finishing carpenter.
From the time he was a young boy Zachary loved the out-of-doors. As an adult he enjoyed hunting, camping, and especially fishing. Zach was an accomplished angler and outdoor chief. Summer weekends, Zach could be found camping, fishing, and exploring the 6th Lake Chain-of-Lakes. He is fondly remembered for his sense of humor, his laid back character and friendly smile.
Zachary was preceded in death by his dad William, grandparents Ray and Bertha Wolf and one uncle Glenn Wolf.
Zachary is survived by his mother Gloria of Hackensack, formally of Walker, uncles; Rodney (Joyce) Wolf of Isanti, MN and Kenneth (Gloria) Wolf of Victoria, MN, in addition to many cousins, other relatives and friends.
