Zachary R. Behrens, 17, of LaSalle, died June 16,2014.
Zachary was born in Racine, WI on July 10,1996 to Eric “Rick” and Jodi (Meinen) Behrens. He was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School in 2014 and signed up for Basic Training for the US Air Force in the fall. He worked at Starved Rock Lodge. Zachary enjoyed playing X Box, his Fire Science Class at LaSalle-Peru High School, and loved his family and friends.
Zachary is survived by his mother Jodi (Stefan) Margurite of LaSalle; his father Eric “Rick” Behrens of Peru; his brother Zane Behrens of LaSalle; Paternal grandfather Robert Behrens of Morton; Maternal grandparents, Roger and Diane Meinen of Freeport, Pamela Monroe of Lake Villa and Kenneth(Lore) Wisbrock of Sheridan; two maternal great-grandmothers, Myrna Burmeister of Wheaton and Vi Bushman of Dixon; maternal great-great-grandmother Grace Slaton of Durand and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Nancy Behrens, great grandparents Donald and Helen Martens and Edward and Helen Behrens and maternal great-grandparents Florence and Harold Meinen.
