Z.THOMAS DEARDEN,of 9312 Main St., Manassas, VA died Friday, March 22, 2002 at 6:20 PM at his home with his family. Mr. Dearden served in the Navy Reserves and the U.S. Army and was a charter member of the American Legion Post #10, Manassas, VA. He also was a member of the Manassas Moose Lodge, the Manassas Elks Lodge, the Haymarket Masonic Temple, the National Rifle Association and the Republican Party. He retired from IBM after 28 years of service, from Northern Virginia Community College as Professor Emeritus after 12 years of service and from WalMart after 5 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Roberta Dearden, two sons, Ziba Dearden, of Calverton, VA and TR Dearden, of Annandale, VA, one daughter, Linda Charlton, of Manassas, VA, his mother, Miriam Dearden, of Wilkes-Barre, PA, one sister, Jeanne Elias, also of Wilkes-Barre, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. The family will receive guests from 6-9 PM Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at their home.
