Yvonne E. te Kampe, age 93, of Wisconsin Rapids, formerly of Vesper, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022 at Cranberry Court Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.

Yvonne was born January 28, 1929 in Colby, Wisconsin to Eugene and Flora (Schneider) Thistle.  She married William te Kampe on April 23, 1949 in Appleton, WI.  The couple was blessed with 63 years of marriage and five daughters. 

Yvonne worked as a home health care aid for many years, drove school bus, and worked as a cooks aid at Bethel Center in Arpin.

Yvonne served as a 4H leader and Girl Scout Leader for several years.  She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vesper where she taught Sunday School and served on the Ladies Aid.

She was a superb homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting, ceramic and oil painting, crossword puzzles, and cake decorating.  She entered several of her cakes in decorating contests.  Yvonne also enjoyed square dancing on nights out with her husband, William.

Yvonne is survived by five daughters: Beth (Pat) Mariani, Linda (Mike) Jewson, Ann te Kampe, Jane (Paul) Pitt, and Sara (Tim) Miller; grandchildren: Mark (Lisa) Mariani, Marsha (Dave) Lamb, Megan Mariani (Billy O’Keefe), Micah Mariani, Tobi (Nick) Nowakowski, Ben (Lara) Jewson, Andi (Matt) Cowsert, Eli (April) Swan, Missy Rahal, and Theresa (Harry) Porter; great-grandchildren: Zach (Anna) Mariani, Kyle Mariani, Garret and Caitlin Lamb, Sierra Mariani, Cora and Cole Nowakowski, Tayler and Benny Jr. Jewson, Jacob, Sarah, and Katie Cowsert, Ivan Swan, Hannah, Alex, Ben and Sydney Rahal, and Kyla, Emma, and Sarah Porter; great-great-grandchildren: Paisley, Brynn, and Rhett Mariani, Clara Lamb, and Ayden Mariani; brother-in-law, Lyle Maas; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband William; in-laws, Gerrit and Mina Gerritsen) te Kampe; and sisters and brothers-in-law: Caroline and Pinky Rock, Loraine and Ken Dittman, and Jeanne Maas.
