Yvonne Esther McKinnies of Trumbull, CT, beloved mother passed away quietly on May 11, 2020, at the age of 76. She was born to Wingfield and Dorothy Smith in Newark, NJ, and lived most of her life in New York. Her father served honorably in World War II and the Korean War as Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Yvonne was a Certified Nursing Assistant and often worked multiple jobs to support her family. She was extremely artistic and creative. She excelled at interior decorating and as a seamstress, she loved gardening, and also had a beautiful singing voice. Most importantly, she loved Jesus with her whole heart. If you ever meet Yvonne, you always knew right away how much she loved her Yahweh. She led multiple prayer groups via phone across the country and was a true prayer warrior. Her kind heart, warm personality, and spiritual guidance will be greatly missed by many but now she is able to rejoice with her mom and angels in heaven. We love you more than words could possibly express. She is survived by her four children, VanDaryle Malone, Araion Malone, Nicole Carroll (husband David), Sharlay Sloss (husband Andrew); her sister Winifred Smith; many grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many beloved godchildren and God sisters.
