Yvonne Palmer “Bonnie” Brown passed away on July 26, 2020. She was born November 23, 1950, in Kalamazoo to John and Shirley (Vose) Palmer.
Bonnie attended Michigan State University for her Bachelor’s degree and pursued her Master’s degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. She spent most of her working career as an elementary school teacher in Petersburg, Virginia. When they moved to Darien, Connecticut, she began working in Real Estate and continued to fulfill her passion for teaching as a Sunday School teacher. Bonnie also enjoyed breeding and raising Bernese Mountain Dogs.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, John I. Palmer.
She is survived by her children, Dr. Jessica (Alexander) van Voorhees and Robert “Bo” (Julie) Brown IV; mother, Shirley Palmer; five grandchildren, Jackson and Charlie van Voorhees and Madeleine, Rory and Clara Brown; sister, Cristy (Jeffrey) Hanover; and nieces, Jennifer (Darin) Ellard, Katie Hanover, and Julie (Jeremy) Ward.
