Yvonne B. “Vonnie” (Witgen) Asher, a long time resident of St. Johns, Michigan, died on July 25, 2024 at the age of 91.Vonnie was born in Fowler, Michigan on November 27, 1932, the daughter of Albert and Leona (Simon) Witgen, and grew up in Westphalia, where she was a 1950 graduate of St. Marys High School. She met William J. Asher shortly after graduation, and married him on July 14, 1951. Together they raised five children, all of whom survive her.
