Yvette Navarro Morris
1952-2022
Yvette Morris passed away peacefully on February 10, 2022. Born in 1952, Yvette grew up in the Bronx, NY and dreamed of teaching and guiding young students. Passionate about education, Yvette graduated from New York University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She continued on to receive a Master’s Degree in Guidance Counseling from Manhattan College and worked as a Counselor in the Bronx for many years. She retired in 2010 after 35 years of counseling service at PS 46.
In her spare time, and especially in retirement, Yvette enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Most notably, she loved her annual trips to Puerto Rico where her family is from, as well as enjoying lively cruise trips around the world.
Yvette is survived by her sons Jason and Jimmy, her two granddaughters Olivia and Charlotte, her sister Yvonne, and brother Louis. She is lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
A private cremation will follow.
