Yvette Jeanette Lambert Skutel, a longtime resident of Southport and Fairfield, the beloved wife of John Skutel, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family Friday, March 18, 2016. Yvette graduated from The Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall, Milford, in 1944. She and John were married on November 9, 1946. Yvette devoted her life to her family and placed an enormous amount of value on her children’s education. She worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant in the Development Office at Fairfield University. She was an active member of both the Bellarmine Guild of Fairfield Prep and the St. Thomas Auxiliary Guild of St. Thomas Parish. She was a parishioner for many years of St.
