Yvette Davidson, 80, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
Born in Akron, She was a member of St. Paul Catholic church. She was a Community Events Coordinator for the City of Akron for 40 years retiring in 2009. She began her career in 1966 with the Planning Department and worked up to the Community Events Coordinator. She spent countless hours arranging for the City Series Concerts at Hardesty Park, Akron Fireworks, the Akron Symphony Orchestra and began the Akron Arts Expo. She belonged to many clubs and enjoyed skiing and traveling. Yvette was also the chairman and coordinator for the BITOA and Akron Metro Ski Clubs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Yvon and Sophia Fleury; and brother, Ramone Fleury. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Rick Lovell; her grandson, who was the “apple of her eye”, Ricky Lovell; brother, Yvon Fleury; sister, Cheryl (Kenny) Tomayko; many life-long friends; and her best friends, “The Saturday Crew”, Karen Wands, Dave Peterson and Cindy Williams, as well as her beloved grand Fur Babies.
