Yolanda Matos, 64, Deming resident passed away Friday June 6, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces.
Yolanda was born October 10, 1950 to Victoria Carbajal and Juan Urenda in Deming. She was a member of the Catholic Church, attended Deming Schools and lived in New York City several years before returning to Deming in 1996. She married William Paul Matos August 8, 1997 in Deming and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, William P. Matos of the home; son, Angel Cruz of West Palm Beach, Florida; 2 daughters, Lydia Urenda of Spring Creek, Nevada and Arelis Cruz of New York, New York;
4 brothers, Henry Urenda of Deming, Richard Urenda of Los Lunas, NM, Lorenzo and Sonny Urenda of Nevada; 1 sister, Anita Palomarez of Vanadium, NM and 8 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Victoria Urenda and sister, Lydia Urenda.
