Monson/Wilbraham-Yolanda M. Grieve, 99, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 surrounded by love of family. Yolie was born February 25, 1923 in Holyoke to the late Anthony and Nellie (Gionfriddo) English. She moved to Monson in 1951 after she married her late husband David W. Grieve. Yolie worked at Holyoke Savings Bank for a short period of time and later she was a sales associate at Sears in Eastfield for twenty years. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross blood bank in Monson. She enjoyed line dancing and strength classes.
Yolie was predeceased by her husband in 1987, David W. Grieve. She leaves her children, Nancy J. Peloquin and her husband Donald of Holland, Cynthia Grieve of Plymouth, and Peter W. Grieve and his wife Carol of Topsfield; five grandchildren, Matthew Peloquin and his wife Rebecca of Warren, Adam Peloquin and his wife Madeline of Roslindale, Alexander Grieve of Washington, DC, David Porter Grieve and his wife Anna of Boston, Graham Grieve of San Francisco, CA ; six great grandchildren and very dear and caring neighbors, Rodney and Meechie Peterson of Monson. Yolie was predeceased by her siblings, Alfred English, Frank English and Mary English.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff and residents at Orchard Valley, for the kindness and compassionate care that Yolie received over the past 7 years.
