Yolanda Jane Nicotera, age 83, of Salem died at 4:22 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2012 at the Salem Community Hospital with her sons at her side. She was born September 4, 1929 in Fairmont, West Virginia, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Condino) Ciliberto. Yolanda grew up in Struthers, Ohio then moved to Leetonia where she spent most of her adult life. She was the quiet person in the room, always a smile, and never a bad word about anyone. She was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church. Her husband, Frank Dominic Nicotera, whom she married October 28, 1947, preceded her in death December 7, 1997. A sister, Virginia Pando and a brother, Robert Ciliberto also preceded her in death. Survivors include four sons, Frank (Annette) Nicotera of Medina, Anthony (Jeanne) Nicotera of Columbiana, Michael (Dodie) Nicotera of Salem and Gene (Gayle) Nicotera of Columbiana; a brother, John Ciliberto of Poland; close friend, Dan Prather; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
