Y Patterson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed of liver cancer on December 17, 2021, at the age of 78 in Alameda, California amongst her loving family.
Y is survived by her four children Lori Patterson, Cary Patterson, Princie Patterson, and Grace Patterson, daughter-in-law Jeannie Patterson, four grandchildren Alexandra Patterson, Connor Patterson, Ashley Patterson, and Natalie Gregory, ten siblings Sang Huynh, Hao Cook, Chau Vandenakker, Ha Huynh, Bau Huynh, Tan Huynh, Viet Huynh, Floyd Huynh, Joseph Mason, and Tuan Huynh. She was preceded in death by her parents, Giac Huynh and Canh Nguyen, as well as her veteran husband of 22 years, Robert H. Patterson in 1988.
Y was a beautiful woman with an incredible life story. She grew up on a rice farm in South Vietnam. She moved from Vietnam to the United States in 1972 with her husband and children. Her goal was to support her family and give her children the opportunities she never had. She will always be remembered as the life of the party with the most generous heart.
