Wyatt Lee McGlothlin, 79, of Bloomington, went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 18, 2013.
Wyatt was born in Harrodsburg, IN to Walter and Stella (Strain) McGlothlin on September 4, 1933. He retired from Cummins Engine Company where he worked as an engine technician for 23 years. He enjoyed breeding and training beagles, winning numerous trophies at various field trail competitions.
Wyatt also enjoyed working on cars, and was an avid fan of NASCAR racing. He loved spending time with his family watching basketball, tending to his much-loved family pets, or just joking around in his own extraordinary way.
Wyatt is survived by his wife of 63 years, Helen Joan (Lawrence) McGlothlin of Bloomington, his children Donald (Ellen) McGlothlin of Bloomington, Stephen (Marcy) McGlothlin of Nineveh, Wyatt Parker of Bloomington, Kathy (Hans) Uitendaal of Spencer, Beverly (Dan) Scott of Unionville, and Julie McGlothlin of Bloomington, twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and his sister Maxine Stamp of Winter Haven, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Stella McGlothlin, brothers Herschel McGlothlin of Scottsburg, Rufus McGlothlin of Bloomington, and sisters Wilma Southern, Lula Crum, and Kathryn Day all of Bloomington.
