Wubbo Mejeur, age 99, passed away October 2, 2022. He was born June 7, 1923 in Kalamazoo to the late Jacob and Elsien (Skipper) Mejeur.
Wubbo was a big fan of jigsaw puzzles and Notre Dame Football. He also enjoyed traveling and supporting his grandkids at their sporting events.
Wubbo was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Uko “Dutch” (Jo) Mejeur, Rena (Al) Rhem, Jerry (Betty) Mejeur, Trena (Matthew) Onderlinde, Henry (Francis) Mejeur, and John Mejeur; sister-in-law, Loralee Mejeur; and brother-in-law, John Vander Ploeg.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Alene (Burrma) Mejeur; children, Gloria (Allan) Terpstra, Joan (Brad) Potts, and Carolyn (Tom) Carlson; grandchildren, Bryan Potts, Kevin (Christina) Potts, Matthew (Bridget) Carlson, and Adam (Christina) Carlson; great-grandchildren, JT, Teddy, Kiely, and Maggie; brother, Ebo Mejeur; sister, Margaret Vander Ploeg; sister-in-law, Dorothy Mejeur; and many nieces and nephews.
