Woodrow W. Hudson died September 19, 2014, at his home, after a courageous battle with stomach cancer.
Woody was born to Edith Josie and Horace Hudson on November 8, 1938, in Newport News, Virginia. He married Peggy Taylor on November 8, 1957, in the living room of Peggy’s parents’ house in Hampton, Virginia. His career started at the Newport News Shipyard in Virginia. He moved his family to Idaho in 1979, where he worked at the INL as a quality control manager. After retiring, Woody and Peggy moved to Las Vegas where Woody retired a second time as a vice president for SAIC. After experiencing warms winters in Nevada, he bought a winter home in Mesquite, Nevada. He worked, again, at the Oasis Golf Club in Mesquite, a few days a week. He got golf for free! He once got a hole in one at Sage Lakes Golf Course, in front of two witnesses.
