Woodrow W. “Woody” Earhart, 99, formerly of E. Grant St., Clyde, died at The Gardens on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.
“Woody” was born in Green Springs on April 5, 1913 to the now deceased Martin and Lulu (Bellman) Earhart. He graduated from Fremont Ross in 1932.
He was a life member of the Clyde Eagles and had retired in 1975 from Whirlpool after 41 years.
On March 15, 1946, he married Claudia Kathryn Good, she preceded him in death on Feb. 4, 2002.
Survivors include children: Woodrow W. Earhart, Jr., Clyde; Martin Ross (Marguerite) Earhart, Royerford, Pa; Leo (Judy) Beier, Arcadia, Fl; Carl (Jo) Earhart, Clyde; Lionel (Lee) Earhart, Port Clinton; Mary (Dan) Dencer, Clyde and Anna (Jerry) Ward, Clyde. Twenty one grandchildren; forty great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Earhart was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence Beier, Jr.; two local grandchildren: Jeff Beier and Kevin Beier, and two out-of-state grandchildren; two great grandchildren: Ashley Earhart and Jacob “Bubba” Andrews; and eleven siblings: Emerson Earhart; Mary Curless; Lucille Lorenzen; Beatrice Drunkenmiller; Loyal Earhart; Nora Mesnard; Elizabeth Myers; Martice Michaels; Anna Cook; Robert Earhart and Richard Earhart.
