Muncie – Woodie Rose Smith, 97, passed away at her residence on November 21, 2013, following an extended illness.
Woodie was born in Burnside, Kentucky on November 14, 1916 the daughter of George Willliam and Cinda (Heathe) Cross, and attended Kentucky Schools.
Mrs. Smith worked at Graves Restaurant in the 50’s as well as other local restaurants for several years until she retired to take care of her family.
Survivors include a son, Allen Smith, Muncie; a daughter, Anita Plummer, Muncie; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; fifteen great-great grandchildren; special friends, Walter and Betty King, Muncie; several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 43 years, Noah Smith; a son, James Smith; a daughter, Mary Mort; one brother; six sisters; a grandson; and a granddaughter.
