Wladyslawa Kowalski, 90, passed away peacefully at Baystate Medical Center on Friday April 24, 2015 with her loving family at her side. Born on June 4, 1924 in Kielkow, Poland to the (late) Wiktoria (Lis) and Franciszek Kania. “Babcia”, as she was referred to by many, worked and retired from Milton Bradley in 1989.
“Babcia” was a woman who loved cooking and feeding everyone who came to the house. She was known for her delicious pierogis and rogaliki.
She leaves her son Zdzislaw (Jesse) Kowalski and his wife Maria of Ludlow, MA, her daughters Stasia Madej and her husband Zdzislaw (Jerry) of Huntsville, AL and Teresa Pilat and her husband Heronim of Chicopee, MA.
