WIONA “GIRL” BARROW
Wiona “Girl” Barrow went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 3, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Rock Creek community on January 9, 1925, to Robert and Della Elliott. Wiona worked at the sewing factor for many years and she retired from the Okaloosa County School System as a bus driver. She loved to sew, loved to cook and garden, but most of all she loved to fish. Wiona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fern, her daughter Sharon Bass, great grandson Zachery Bass and great granddaughter Rachel Lessie.
Survivors include her son Maxie Barrow and his wife Jennifer; her brother Norman Elliott; sister Ruby Steele; grandchildren: Robert Bass and wife Debbie, Hank Bass and wife Mary, Josh Bass and wife Shinola, Jimmy Barrow and wife Paula, Tammy Henkes and husband Todd, Sherri Redmon and husband Mike and Lisa Josey; also surviving are her numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
