(Ruby) Winzella (Wales) Holder, 89, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022. Winzella was born 9-20-1932 in Archer County, Texas to Eldon C. Wales and Audrey Ornee Shawver Wales. She was raised in Electra, Texas.
She married Sherman Holder 9/4/1948 and moved their family to Hobbs in 1955. Sherman worked for Humble Oil Company and Winzella worked at Furr’s Grocery Store in the Bakery while they raised their two children DeNeen and Denton.
Winzella enjoyed attending craft shows and making crafts. She loved to embroidery and crocheting afghans. She played the piano and the accordion. She was a great cook and enjoyed having her family on special occasions and holidays. Winzella loved people and would talk to nearly anybody and would be good at it.
Winzella was preceded in death by her parent, E.C. and Audrey Wales; her husband of 70 years, Sherman Holder and her daughter DeNeen Harris.
