Winston Clyde Primm was born in Wilcox County in Coy, AL to Mrs. Irene Packer Primm and Mr. Will Primm.

There were five other siblings born to this union who preceeded him in death, Willie Edd, Eades, Jaunita and Fred Sr. The last survivor of the six children is Elois Primm Ramsey, along with one devoted sister-in-law, Velma Scott Primm and one special brother-in-law, Joseph Boykins. There were three older siblings, John, James and Betty who also proceeded him in death.

In addition to his siblings, he was BLESSED with nieces, nephews, cousins, a loving church family and many caring and devoted friends.

Winston began his Christian journey at an early age at Pine Flat Missionary Baptist Church in Hybart, AL, under pastoral leadership of the Rev. A.M. Mosely. He quietly gave of his time, talent and resources to the church for a lifetime wherever he went.

He graduated from Camden Academy High School and left home shortly after to live with a devoted aunt, Mrs. Lusadie Spencer and her husband, Walter Spencer of Brooklyn, NY.

He was married to Emily Bancroft and was the father of one son, David who is deceased.

Winston served safely in the United States Army for some years and was honorably discharged. He served as a policeman for Brooklyn, NY Police Department for twenty years.

He lived in Newark, NJ before finally returning to the hallowed ground where he was born in Coy, AL. He united with the Little Zion No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church in Coy, AL, where he was ordained a deacon on March 15, 2015. There he served faithfully until his demise.

An avid reader, he was a student of the Bible where he often gave the thought for the day at the senior citizens’ center in Vredenburgh, AL. He was quit, but always an independent thinker who was not easily swayed. His life can be summed up as being humble, cooperative, caring, dependable and peaceful. This is a great legacy to leave to all of us.
