YORKTOWN – Winona Justus, 100, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at The Waters of Yorktown after gradually failing health.
She was born on July 4, 1912 in Muncie, IN to the late Emmett Alvarro and Bessie Ellen (Lewis) Frees. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1930 and from
God’s Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1933.
Winona and Richard Justus met through Richard’s army buddy and brother-in-law at Ft. Campbell, KY. in early April, 1943 and they were married on September 29, 1943.

She is survived by her son, Kent (wife-Joy) Justus, 2 grandchildren Marla Haughn and Brad Justus, and 3 great-grandchildren Zach, Gabbi, and Nate Haughn, all of Yorktown; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and 3 siblings.
