Winona A. Smith passed away on July 20, 2010.
Winona was born in Hennessey, Oklahoma on March 8, 1933. She was an active member of Eastern Stars and served as a Senior Companion Volunteer. The grand opening of Winona’s Antiques was a “dream come true” as she always wanted to manage an antique store. Her life long dream was fulfilled on February 18, 1998 when the grand opening of the store was held.
As a teenager, she became a big fan of Roy Rogers. One of her favorite songs is “Happy Trails”. She met Roy Rogers in person at the state fair held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Winona will be remembered as a loving, caring person with a great sense of humor, who made people laugh.
Winona leaves behind the families of her two children: Linda Y. Trujillo (Reggie Sr.) of Fairfax Station, VA and Randy L. Garcia of Inwood, WV; five grandchildren: Reggie JR., Kevin (Kim), Dusty, Cody, and Amber; Five great grandchildren: Keegan, Mikaela, Mattias, Jakob and Alexis; a sister Ramona Dickerson, of Walsh, CO; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Clara Osban from Lamar, CO.
