Winifred Simon, 89 of Milford, beloved wife of Alfred Simon passed away peacefully on June 26th, 2014. Born on December 11th, 1924 in Sheffield, England she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Kate Williams.
Wendy was a nurse in the British Air Force during WWII where she met her beloved husband Alfred. She loved to read, enjoyed her crosswords and was an avid Yankee Fan.
She is survived by her husband Alfred Simon, her daughters; Linda Wankowicz and her husband Peter of West Haven, Janice Ross and her husband Brad of Milford, and her son Robert Simon and his Fiancee Cindy Hager of Ansonia. She is also survived by her Grandchildren; Nina Ross of Denver, Colorado, Joseph Ross and his wife Andretta of Oakland, Ashley Schwarzkopf and her husband Barney of Oxford, Amber Simon of Ansonia and her Great Grandchildren Parker Joseph Ross and Evan Schwarzkopf. her nephews Henry Kutash of Fairfield and Andrew Williams of England.
