Winifred (Jordan) Garafola James
Okeechobee – Winifred (Jordan) Garafola James died July 23, 2021. She was born in New York, New York to George and Wilamina Jordan. She moved to Pompano Beach, Florida where she lived for many years before relocating to Okeechobee around 20 years ago. She loved animals of all types. She loved her numerous family and friends and will be missed by all of them.
Mrs. James was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Donald “Lee” James; and her sons, Dean Garafola and Christopher Garafola.
She is survived by her loving family which includes, brother, Eric Jordan (Carol); nephew, Eric, all of New York; stepchildren, Tammy (Ford) Hooker (James), of Illinois, David James, of Illinois and Florida, and Randy James, of Illinois; daughters-in-law, Kathy Garafola and Evelyn Garafola; grandsons, Christopher Garafola and Adam Ford (Abby); granddaughter, Ashley (Ford) Richardson (Mark); and great-grandchildren, Michele, Zake, Jake, Paisley, Evie, and Lola. Her soulmate of four years, Edward Berkel also became part of her family along with his children; and many friends.
