Winfred “Wimp” H. Pierce, 78, former longtime Coweta County Coroner, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at his home in Newnan. He was born February 5, 1938 in Carroll County, GA to the late Jack Donvil Pierce & Janette Hutson Pierce. Wimp worked for James River Corp for 38 years, served as Deputy Coroner for eight years and as the Coweta County Coroner for 12 years. He was a longtime member of Arnco Baptist Church. Survivors include wife, Kimberly Hopson Pierce; children, Don (Susan) Pierce, Christy (Jerry) Cunningham, Jan Pierce, Leslie (Chris) Mui, David (Patty) Dial, Samantha (Keith) Milner; brother, Gene Pierce; grandchildren, Noah Johnson, Christina Mui, Gage Mui, Nathan Mui, Rachel Mui, Sean Minnicucci, Olivia Pierce, Logan Dial, Sadie Dial, Everett Dial.
