Mrs. Wilmirth Wood, age 97, of Sharpsburg, Georgia passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2021.
Born November 18, 1923, she was the youngest of seven children of Dr. and Mrs. Theo Lee of Snellville. She grew up in Snellville and graduated from Snellville High School. She married William N. Wood in 1947 who preceded her in death in 1983. She was also preceded in death by her son Jim Wood. Survivors include son Jerry Wood; daughters Joyce Wood, and Janice Whitehead (Harry); grandchildren J Whitehead and Guy Wood; great-granddaughter Dakota Wood, and great-great-granddaughter Savannah Wood. Wilmirth was a faithful member of Turin Methodist Church. She was also a 68-year member of Turin chapter #429 Order of the Eastern Star and the last remaining charter member.
