Wilma S. Twombley, 96, of Newton died on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at Skiff Medical Center.
Wilma, the daughter of Calvin and Lettie Leak, was born on March 12, 1921 in Thayer, Iowa. She grew up in the Thayer and Lorimor areas and later moved to Newton, Iowa.
Those left to honor Wilma’s memory are her sons, Gary (Wanda) Twombley of Newton, James (Peggy) Twombley of Melbourne, and Glen (Nancy) Twombley of Spencer; grandchildren, Troy Twombley, Matthew Twombley, Jamie Twombley, Keith Twombley, Jessica Twombley, and Justin (Alicia) Mitchell; and her ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth in 2009; a daughter, Diane; and five sisters, Faith, Betty, Delores, Fanora, and Donna.
