Wilma J. Schoen passed away peacefully in the evening hours on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the age of 101. Wilma was born on August 24, 1920 in Laurel, Nebraska, one of ten children to the late William and Hilda Carlson Koch. On November 28, 1942 Wilma married the love of her life, Peter Frances Schoen. They both had a great love for traveling and camping. One of Wilma’s favorite places to visit was Disney World. Wilma cherished the time she had to spend with her family and was loved dearly by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Wilma will be greatly missed by all of her family. She is survived by her children, Marsha and the late David Seymour, Raymond Schoen (Audrey), Linda Metzger (Joe), Michael Schoen, Patricia Schoen; grandchildren, Shannon Saeger (Jason), Melissa Maggi (Chris), Michael Harward, Dr. Chelsea Metzger, Jospeh Metzger, Windie Rhodes (Rob) and Heather Johns (Jen). She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Wilma had 9 brothers and sisters, Leonard Koch, Cecelia Joslin, Minnie Lucille Poling, Doris Strong, Robert “Bob” Koch, Loretta Maecke, Evelyn Helgersen, Marie Groettsch, Richard Dick Koch and numerous nieces and nephews.
