Wilma June Rapson, of Midland, died on October 26, 2013, at the age of 99. Wilma was born June 22, 1914, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Charles and Faye (Cone) Betts. She married Harold M. Rapson on September 19, 1936. They lived in Midland together for 61 years before his death on April 3, 1998. Wilma remained in their home on Hampshire Street until April 2008, when she relocated to Riverside Place in Midland.

Mrs. Rapson was a member of the Midland First United Methodist Church since 1926, joining at age 12, and volunteered for many years on Church Bereavement Dinners. She loved sewing, knitting, and crochet work. She made many lap robes for nursing home residents and countless baby caps for premature babies in area hospitals. She also made winter hats and scarves for donation, in addition to hats for cancer patients. She always loved to make foods for family members, making sure everyone had their favorites when they came to visit.

Wilma leaves her daughter, Susan Albee (Bob Davis) of Redford, and her daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Beasley Leffew of Bloomington, Illinois. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Albee Hall and husband Jake Hall of Rochester, and James Albee (Seasen Pruett) of Redford. She is also survived by her Great Granddaughter, Clare Margaret Hall of Rochester. Also surviving are nieces Pat Schroeder (Beaverton), Sharron Walsh (Midland), Jean Bilow (Midland), Joann Von Brock (Florida), and a nephew, Dan Craig (Freeland). In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ellen, in 1949; her sister Betty Jean Craig; her sister Rhea Mielke; and her brother LaVerne Betts.
