Wilma Elizabeth Benefiel, 100, Middletown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 23rd, 2009. She was born September 19, 1908, in Frankton, resided in Middletown, and lived with her daughter and son-in-law for the past eleven years.
She previously lived in Anderson. She was a homemaker and also taught piano and organ for over forty years. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church and was the pianist at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church for seventeen years. She was also a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed antiquing and decorating with her family and also loved to crochet.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ted Wiggins of Middletown. Two grandchildren, Michelle Butch Teague of Roanoke, and Eric Jennifer Wiggins of Markleville. Five great-grandchildren, Josh, Chris, Skyler and Grace, and Lauren Wiggins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Benefiel in 1984. Parents, Ernest and Ethel Waymire Conklin, and a great-grandson, Zarek.
