Wilma was born on October 16, 1948, to James and Doris Palmer in Lee County of North Carolina. Wilma grew up attending New Hope School and when her parents moved to the city of Sanford, she graduated in the Class of 1966 from W.B. Wicker High School, North Carolina. Wilma was a fun-loving person, and she was the “life of the party” and full of laughter and spirit. She lit up every room that she walked into with her beautiful smile and personality. She loved to cook and nurture her family. She was light-hearted and caring. She loved her daughter, her sister-in-love Julia, her grandkids, her family, and her friends and would do anything she could for them. She loved deeply and loved life. Wilma was perfect in so many ways and will be missed by everyone her life touched. She was employed by Coty Incorporated and Carter-Weber Incorporated.
Family members who predeceased Wilma: Her parents James and Doris Palmer; two brothers Norman and Oscar Palmer; one Aunt Jeanette B. Palmer; two nephews Demil Ray and Nichalos Palmer, and one niece Deena Williams.
