William C. Loux, Sr., 82, of Vandalia, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014, in Riverview Manor, Three Rivers.

William was born March 5, 1932, in Dowagiac, Michigan to Russell and Marjorie (Townsend) Loux.

He married Elsie Ann Knight on February 4, 1956, in Cassopolis, Michigan. She survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James Loux; and two step sisters, Winona Whitlock and Janyce Sorbello.

Bill served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was best known in Cassopolis as Bill the Barber. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and swimming. Bill was a great family man. He loved people and had a tremendous number of friends.

William will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his wife of over fifty-eight years, Elsie (Knight) Loux of Vandalia; two sons, William (Susan) Loux II of Cassopolis, Mark Loux of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Julia (Marcus) Curran of Vermont, William Loux III of Chicago, Samantha Loux of Detroit, Tyler Loux of Fort Worth; one great-granddaughter, Jordan Curran; one step-sister, Phyllis Windsor of Goshen; one sister in law, Bonnie Loux of Cassopolis; and a host of nieces and nephews.
