Willis F. “Mick” and “The Weenie Man” Valleau, 66, of Elkhart, died July 7, 2011, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born January 6, 1945, in Bluefield, W.Va. to the late Robert and Imogene (Talbert) Valleau.
Surviving are daughters Crystal (Martin) Lopez and Misty Laughlin of Elkhart; longtime companion Alice Laughlin of Elkhart; stepson David (Deborah) Laughlin of Goshen; stepdaughters Andrea (Richard) Childress of Elkhart and Alison (Bryan) Webb of Virginia; six grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; several step great-grandchildren; and brothers John (Joanna) Valleau, James Valleau of West Virginia and Adam Valleau of Cumberland, Md.
He served for more than 10 years in the Army during Vietnam and received the Army Commendation, Vietnam Service, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Good Conduct, National Defense Service and Armed Forces Expeditionary medals. He was a member of Goshen Moose Lodge and an avid reader.
