Willie Rodgers Scott was born May 5, 1950. He was always proud to say he was born on five-five-fiveO. He was born to the late Jimmie and Sennie Mae Scott. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Union Missionary Baptist Church. He later joined Mt. Olive #2 Baptist Church where Dr. Stevenson Tullis is the pastor. 

​He was employed by Stauffer Chemicals in Bucks, Alabama and later retired after 15 years of service. He was an avid lover of golf, the Cleveland Browns football team, Tiger Woods, and a lover of music. He favorite sayings were “Hello, somebody” and “I ain’t got nothing but love for you.”

​On October 6, 1971, he was untied in Holy Matrimony to Carolyn Daffin for 49 years of marriage. 

He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife, Carolyn Scott. His three children; Ericka (Warlando) Ridgeway of Jackson, AL, Jarshaun Scott of Mobile, AL, and Kiki (Tavarus) Moore of Jackson; four grandchildren, one great-grandson, six siblings; Doris Scott, Jesse Lee (Bettye) Scott Daphne, AL, Beatrice (John) Davis, Los Angles, CA, Dyanne (Keith) Pernell, Jackson, AL, Bernadette (Billie) Parker, Jackson, AL, Dwyane Scott and one sibling preceded in death (Jimmie Scott); devoted friends, Tommie Pernell, Curtis Donald, and Charles and Joan Adams. A godson, Jacoby Berry and a host of nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends.
